Compliance & Assurance

To ensure the Trust is compliant with essential standards of quality and safety we are regularly assessed.

Theses assessments are carried out by the Care Quality Commission and NHS Improvement.

Care Quality Commission

The Trust is assessed periodically by the Care Quality Commission on Quality standards and on a range of performance indicators.

NHS Improvement

As a Foundation Trust, the Trust is also regulated by NHS Improvement.

The Board of Directors is required to carry out a self-assessment each year in order to meet the conditions of the Trust’s licence and in line with NHS Improvement guidance.

This includes a self certification declaration and declaration of governor training.
