Lara Brooks
Lara Brooks is a Staff Governor, representing non-clinical members of staff.
Having worked in several departments in the trust since 2013 I recognise EPUT services as being amongst the best in the country.
As a Staff Governor I would like to give staff members, as well as service users and carers, a voice in EPUT. I believe staff engagement is vital in steering, reshaping, and developing services - further enhancing the great work already being undertaken. I acknowledge that staff members may encounter daily challenges which can potentially impact on their own mental health and I would like to see staff wellbeing firmly on the agenda. I am committed to representing the views of our staff to help EPUT become the best possible place for service users to receive treatment and for staff to work and deliver high quality healthcare.
I envisage that I will act as that vital link between staff and the Trust Board. I am committed to service user-led change and am keen to work with Trust staff to find new ways of doing this and help enhance communication and relationships between staff and the trust.
