Sharon Green

Sharon Green is a Staff Governor, representing clinical members of staff.

Having worked within the NHS for 36 years, I have experienced many changes in structure and service delivery. Currently within physical, mental health and learning disability services there is a period of significant transformational change.

I believe it is important that alongside service user and strategic perspectives, the voice of the front-line staff is accurately represented.

I have experience of attending several transformation groups across the organisation, am mindful of the complexities of cross-organisational working, and of the importance of ensuring learning and experience is shared.

I am a good listener and, through my role as a staff engagement champion, I have been able to highlight questions raised by the wider Allied Health Professional (AHP)  group to the Executive Team for response.

As I approach the 'twilight years' of my Occupational Therapy career, I have worked with some fantastic staff. I would like to be the link for the wider staff group's voice to be shared, through the staff governor role, enabling the bridge between operational, corporate and strategic services to enable effective service delivery. As a carer for someone who uses EPUT services,

I value the NHS and feel it is so important to ensure that the services work for service users, staff and the organisations involved with delivering the care.
