Councillor Bob Massey

Bob Massey is an Appointed Governor, representing Essex County Council.

I’m an Essex Boy, born and bred. I was born in Billericay and grew up in Havering, attending school in Romford. I moved to South Woodham Ferrers in 1986.

I’ve served the residents of Chetwood Ward on South Woodham Ferrers Town Council since 1988 (with a couple of short breaks when work forced me to work away from home). I’ve represented the residents of Chetwood & Collingwood Ward at Chelmsford City Council since 2011, and the Town of South Woodham Ferrers at Essex County Council since 2017.

Between 2015 and 2019, at Chelmsford City Council I had Cabinet responsibility for Parks & Green Spaces and Bereavement Services, then in 2019 I was honoured to be asked to serve as Mayor of the City of Chelmsford.
