Membership of the Trust is free and provides you with the opportunity to influence how healthcare services are developed. We count on members for feedback, local knowledge and support, helping us to understand and respond to what our community needs.

You do not need any special skills or experience to be a member – you just need to be interested in our services and the people we care for – you, your family, friend and neighbours. You can register online become a member.

Membership allows you to be involved as much or as little as you may want. Some members just want to receive a newsletter/email to ensure that they are kept informed about what is happening with their local health services, whilst others may want to attend events and tell us face to face, that’s up to you!

Members elect the governors who sit on the Council of Governors and help the Trust Board determine our priorities for the future. As a member you can stand for election yourself (if you are over 16) and make your voice heard.

You may wish to attend our Council of Governor meetings, that are held quarterly.

You will receive regular emails from the Trust that contains news, events and interesting features, to assist our emails reaching your inbox please add no-reply@emailengage.info to your email contacts, we would rather not end up in your junk email!

You will receive invitations to information and engagement events where you will have the opportunity to have your say about your healthcare services and be consulted about any possible changes, as well as having the opportunity to meet our governors.

Anyone over the age of 12 who lives in England is welcome to become a member, whether they use our services or not. Trust staff automatically become members – staff are added periodically.
