Volunteering at EPUT

To date we have 230 volunteers who give up their time each and every week by befriending, feeding and reading to our patients. Additionally volunteers work in gardens, shops, sit on committees and interview panels, in fact there is very little that they do not do in their desire to help.

The role of the volunteer is very highly-valued and respected and it is inspiring to know that despite the harsh economic climate, the volunteers are still devoting their time towards making a difference.

Indeed, their dedication and time is priceless; their commitment to improving patient care is invaluable.

If you’re interested in volunteering please read our frequently asked questions or take a look at the current opportunities below.

Watch why our volunteers enjoy supporting the Trust through volunteering, the benefits to both themselves and the Trust and why you should join our growing number of volunteers.

Coronavirus vaccine volunteer opportunities

Work for us – protect the community – save lives

We are looking for volunteers from across Essex and Suffolk to lead our fight against coronavirus – you could be part of it!

Working with NHS colleagues across the two counties, we are gearing up in the next few weeks to be ready to deliver a COVID-19 vaccination programme.

We are now seeking great volunteers to work as stewards.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join us and play your part in protecting the community and saving lives.

Local vaccination centres will be open from 8am-8pm seven days a week. We are looking for people to start as soon as to enable the local vaccination centres to be ready from 1 December 2020 to March 2021.

There are opportunities to work flexible hours, with a minimum commitment of four-hour shifts. At this stage, we are looking for people to work until March 2021.

If you are interested in joining this unique new team please contact us by email at epunft.recruitment.covid-19@nhs.net
