Volunteers’ Week 1-7 June 2017
EPUT are excited to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week from the 1-7 June 2017. During this week we will be holding our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch at the Toby Carvery in Runwell to say thank you to all of our hard working volunteers.
We will also be at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Basildon (outside the Build-a-bear workshop) on Friday 02 June 2017 where we will be recruiting new volunteers. Please come and visit us for more information about volunteering.
Volunteering at EPUT
To date we have 230 volunteers who give up their time each and every week by befriending, feeding and reading to our patients. Additionally volunteers work in gardens, shops, sit on committees and interview panels, in fact there is very little that they do not do in their desire to help.
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all volunteers for the extraordinary contribution they make in supporting our services.
The role of the volunteer is very highly-valued and respected and it is inspiring to know that despite the harsh economic climate, the volunteers are still devoting their time towards making a difference.
Indeed, their dedication and time is priceless; their commitment to improving patient care is invaluable.
