Marianne Evans is a Staff Governor, representing clinical members of staff.
I have worked in the NHS since 1986. I am proud to be a nurse. I have worked within mental health for many years and have depth and breadth of experience. I am currently working within Substance Misuse services as a Clinical Lead/Team Manager.
I am a representative for my team and other staff. Myself and other staff governors plan to develop a staff forum across EPUT where staff can talk to us and raise any issues and concerns.
As a staff governor, I have the opportunity to raise issues on behalf of other members of staff. I join discussions at senior levels and ensure issues are being resolved and solutions put in place.
I am currently the chair of the governors’ Governance Committee. Being a staff governor gives me access to a broader view of governance and quality across the trust.
I am motivated to gain further knowledge and exposure to the trust’s organisational structure and change management processes. Being a staff governor is all about having a voice and giving a voice to others.
