Christmas hampers delivered to inpatient wards

Christmas food hampers filled with festive treats are being delivered to all inpatient wards at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) this week.

Patients who find themselves spending the festive season away from loved ones will receive the special deliveries filled with mince pies, chocolates, biscuits, sweets and nibbles.

Paul Scott, CEO of EPUT, said: “It is a Christmas tradition at EPUT that we put together hampers for patients who are in hospital over the festive period.

“Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those who find themselves spending the holidays away from loved ones and friends. I hope the hampers go some way to providing comfort and making the Christmas period that little bit easier for our patients.”

Many wards have also arranged festive activities for patients including art sessions, carol singing, cake decorating and movie nights.
