Therapy dogs visit patients

Some four-legged visitors paid a visit to patients at one of our rehabilitation centres.

Harley, Merlin and Jazz from Essex Therapy Dogs met patients and staff at the Cumberlege Intermediate Care Centre, Rochford Hospital, on Friday 12 May.

Senior sister Karen Last said “the patients absolutely loved it” and enjoyed giving the trio cuddles and treats.

The centre looks after adults who have had a period of illness or immobility following a stroke or fall.
