Volunteers Week - Celebrating our volunteers
As part of Volunteers’ Week (3 to 9 June) Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) is celebrating the commitment of our volunteers who support patients, staff and visitors throughout all our services.
We have more than 300 volunteers who give up their time each week to carry out a variety of roles, including befriending, feeding and reading to our patients.
They also work in gardens, shops, sit on our committees and interview panels, support with patient activities including arts projects.
We value the experience, knowledge and skills our volunteers bring to EPUT and their commitment to improving patient care is invaluable.
Georgie Lockhart, EPUT’s Patient Experience and Volunteers Co-ordinator, said: 'It is a real pleasure to work with our volunteers.
“We have such a wonderful team of volunteers here at the Trust and we know that our patients and colleagues appreciate the additional support they provide. We are grateful for everything they do.”
