Speech & Language Therapy
The Adults Speech and Language Therapy (S<) Service works across the whole county providing help in both hospital and in the community to adults (16 years and over) who have a difficulty with communication or swallowing.
The service is provided in a number of ways, depending on need. e.g. individual or group treatment.
The service also undertakes a role in providing training and specialist support to carers and to those working with adults in residential care and other settings. This enables carers and professionals involved with the adult to provide an appropriate level of support.
