We provide evidence based support to help people secure & retain employment, through a team of Employment Specialists. We adhere to a delivery model called Individual, Placement & Support (IPS) and our service is person centred and individualised. We can help prepare CVs, covering letters, job search; carry out ‘mock interviews’, offer / signpost in relation to benefits advice. We engage employers to create opportunities or when problems arise whilst people are in work.
EPUT directly provide the service in north east, mid and south west Essex. We work in partnership with the charity Employ-Ability who provide the service in west and south east Essex on our behalf.
The service is recognised as a National Centre of Excellence (Centre for Mental Health).
Where service is based
Our Employment Specialists are locality based and support people on all service delivery pathways, across the whole county.
Our Team operate from offices in the following towns:
- Clacton (satellite cover to Harwich)
- Colchester; Chelmsford (satellite cover to Maldon)
- Castle Point
Hours of operation
The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

We operate a ‘no exclusion criteria’ so anyone who would like support to find work or retain employment can be referred to the service.
