The Continence Advisory Service is a specialist nurse led service that offers assessment and treatment of adults with complex bowel and bladder problems. This may include pelvic floor assessment and exercises, bladder retraining, pelvic floor stimulation and feedback, intermittent catheterisation, food fluid and toileting advice. Information on aids gadgets and pad products. We also provide teaching for all community healthcare professionals.
Where service is based
Nurse led clinics across south Essex and in patient’s homes if required.
Clinic locations; Pitsea, Stanford, Rayleigh, Benfleet, Thorpedean, Brentwood, Billericay, John Tulloch Centre, Hadleigh, Raphael House, Westcliff, Tilbury, Canvey, and Warrior House.
The service is also delivered in residential care homes across south Essex.
Hours of operation
Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 excluding Bank Holidays.

The administration office and specialist telephone enquiries is open during 09:00 – 15:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
Appointment enquiries is available during 10:00 – 14:00 Monday – Friday.
