Equipment/Wheelchairs

The Wheelchair Service provides the framework to clinically assess, and then provide appropriate wheelchairs with associated equipment to clients with long-term mobility needs. Once provision is established, the Wheelchair Service supports the equipment provided and continues to review the clients’ needs.

Equipment provided includes; manual wheelchairs, indoor powered wheelchairs, indoor/outdoor wheelchairs, buggies, pressure care cushions.

Clients are offered vouchers as part of the intervention process.

Clients with more complex needs may be referred to special seating, or have specialist seating company assessing/supplying equipment.

We are working in partnership with Whizzkids charity for the provision of children’s wheelchairs for those up to the age of 26.
