The Community Nursing Service is an essential part of the local Southeast Essex (SEE) health and social care system and can make the difference between people being able to stay at home rather than being admitted to hospital or nursing home care. The Community Nursing Service team provide a domiciliary flexible service to housebound patients to assess health care needs and deliver a wide range of nursing interventions.

Our Vacancies 

We are looking for a compassionate, hardworking and motivated registered nurse to join our District Nursing Team on nights.

You will have daily responsibility for providing care to a wide range of patients within the community setting.

You will be part of an evolving team of both registered nurses and HCA's delivering care to patients in their own homes, this includes palliative care.

This is a great opportunity for an RGN to develop both clinically and Leadership skills within a community setting.

There are opportunities for further professional development.

You must be a first level registered nurse, hold a full valid driving license and have access to a car.

Part time will be considered.

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual with a demonstrable interest in working with patients who are living with a mental illness in the community.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is committed to working in partnership with patients/carers and a range of other care staff and agencies to provide truly person centred services.

You must have excellent communication skills, commitment to working flexibly to meet patient’s needs, be able to demonstrate that you can work effectively in a multi disciplinary team setting and demonstrate a commitment to further development with the support of the team. You must have an awareness of current health and social care issues that affect community care for Adult with mental health needs.  

You will have commitment to your own development including experience of a varied caseload, health promotion and clinical supervision.  Your active participation in providing a variety of learning opportunities for students and participating in training initiatives in general will be a part of the role.

The post also offers the opportunity to actively influence and participate in the development of services to Adult with mental health needs living in the South West area.
