Therapy for You service now available in north east Essex

A service for adults in need of mental health support is now being provided across north east Essex by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT).

Therapy for You (IAPT), provides free counselling and psychological therapy for people aged 16 and over experiencing depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and specific phobias.

Paul Scott, Chief Executive of EPUT, said: “The events of the last 12 months have been challenging for everyone. Therapy for You (IAPT) allows people to access specialist therapy when they need it most in a way that suits them best.”

Therapy for You (IAPT) is an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service which aims to help people better manage their mental health. EPUT has been delivering IAPT services in south-east Essex since 2009 and has now taken over as provider of IAPT services in Colchester and Tendring.

Therapy for You (IAPT) launches in partnership with mental health charity Mind and Ieso Digital Health, a company providing confidential online therapy. It offers therapy in person, online, by phone or video call as well as group therapy sessions and online courses.

Members of the public can access Therapy for You (IAPT) by calling 01206 334001 or visiting They can also speak to their GP about a referral to the service.
