Countdown to Christmas Day 9 - Charitable Funds fantastic work

With the season of goodwill upon us, it seems only fitting to use today’s countdown message to remind everyone about the fantastic work of the EPUT Charity.

Charitable Funds raises money to help us provide the best possible care. Donations from members of the public, staff, patients and their loved ones help us finance ‘little extras’ that make the care our patients receive that bit more special.

In recent years the fund has helped create therapy gardens, buy recreational equipment and provide music therapy sessions. Alongside NHS Charities Together, Charitable Funds also helps fund Open Arts, our community arts and mental health programme which helps to manage mental health and wellbeing through creativity.

Charitable Funds makes a huge difference to our service users and in turn the colleagues who care for them.  A regular attendee at on our Open Arts programme said: “It’s made such a difference, it’s absolutely saved my life and that’s not an overstatement. Being there, I felt perhaps maybe I have a place and there were other people I could talk to who understood.”

Charitable Funds relies on donations to keep running, and there are lots of ways you can help:

  • Donate money via Give as You Live
  • Register on easyfundraising.org.uk to automatically donate every time you shop
  • Consider fundraising for the EPUT Charity if you’re taking part in a sponsored event – if you let the Charitable Funds team know, the fund may be able to cover the cost of any entry fees.

As we head into 2024, please help keep EPUT’s Charitable Funds running to support colleagues provide the best possible care.
