Finance team spread Christmas cheer

Colleagues from Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust's Finance Team donated food to help vulnerable families over Christmas.

The team, who are based at Thurrock Hospital, collected a trolley full of food for the Thurrock Foodbank’s centre at St John the Baptist Church in Tilbury.

Janet Brown, Specialist Services Finance Business Partner, said: “Christmas is such a special time of the year but it can also cause anxiety, stress and a whole heap of emotions if you are in a bad place.

“We try to do a food parcel collection around Christmas from the EPUT Finance Team to lighten the burden and bring some cheer.”

The team are looking to put together food parcels regularly throughout the year for the foodbank.

They also held a Christmas Jumper Day and Janet made a gingerbread man wreath for a raffle. They raised £170 in total for the Save the Children charity.
