Children's Immunisation and Vaccination Team: Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes
Summary
The Immunisation and Vaccination team consists of Registered Nurses and support staff.
The team works in partnership with schools and the local authorities to deliver the commissioned school aged based Immunisation Programme to all children attending schools (State and Independent) and young people who are home educated, across Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

Service Information
This service is delivered through the Healthy Child Programme and in addition to delivering the immunisations the team are able to provide parents, children and staff with information and support to make healthy choices which will enhance a child or young person’s health and wellbeing.
We only manage the school aged pupils who live in or attend school in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes and will not be able to answer any questions regarding immunisation schedules if they live or attend school outside of these areas.
Referral Information
Referrals for children aged 5–19 (either living (if home educated) or attending a school in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes) are welcome from:
- GPs
- Paediatrics
- Education staff and schools
- Acute Hospital Services
- Social Care and housing
- Other health professionals
