'Podiatry Service - South East and South West Essex

Summary

The South East and South West Essex Podiatry Service provides treatment to patients who live and are registered with a GP in the areas of Basildon, Rochford, Thurrock, Canvey, Southend and Rayleigh.

Service Information

The department specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions that affect the feet and associated structures. The Podiatrists are trained to assess the neurological, vascular, biomechanical and orthopaedic status of the lower limb and have the expertise to treat patients with a variety of presenting problems such as diabetes mellitus, peripheral vascular disease, acute and chronic nail pathologies and arthritis, both degenerative and inflammatory.

The service is currently delivered in community clinics across south Essex, we also have strong links to the Diabetic multi-disciplinary foot clinics within the hospital settings.

There is a limited domiciliary service which offers treatment to housebound patients. A GP REFERRAL IS NEEDED TO ACCESS THIS SERVICE
