Dr Nuruz Zaman
Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist
Forensic Inpatient Services

Dr Zaman is based in Bedforshire, and works in our Low Secure Inpatient Services as well as HMP Bedford and Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre. He is interested in rehabilitating patients in our forensic services. He works closely with Her Majesty’s Courts & Tribunals Service, liaising with the police, probation officers, solicitors and mental health professionals to assess and rehabilitate people who have previous convictions or have acted violently.

Dr Zaman is passionate about improving patient safety. He is Chair of EPUT’s Suicide Prevention Group. Dr Zaman is also the trust’s Clinical Director for Clinical Governance.
