Alivia Bray
Alivia Bray is a Staff Governor, representing clinical members of staff.
I became a clinical governor for EPUT in 2023, and have worked for the Trust for 7 years in community mental health services and specialist roles within mental health. I am currently privileged to be Team Leader for Family Group Conferencing, a service that works with adults and their self-identified support network. FGC is a highly person-centred process, and its values are centred on the positive impact of everyone having a voice, be it through someone’s care plan or in our coproduced processes. I am eager to bring my commitment to this approach to the role of governor.
I have seen excellent service from colleagues in challenging scenarios. I want to recognise and highlight the good work that is taking place, and proactively discuss challenges and areas for development in an open, honest, judgement-free manner. Having a loved one who is unwell can be a devastating and alienating time, and good care that proactively involves those who are important to a person is crucial.
