Nat Ehigie-Obano
Nat Ehigie-Obano is a Public Governor for West Essex and Hertfordshire.
I am an independently minded person who has the inert ability to analyse problems and proffer solutions.
I am an Accountant by training and over the last thirty years, I have been involved in various roles both in the UK and abroad. I was a Non -Executive Director of the old Harlow PCT and during my time on the Harlow PCT board, I served on the Financial Strategy Board as well as the Audit committee which reviewed the principal risks faced by the PCT, identified and evaluated controls, and set out the basis for obtaining assurance on behalf of the board. My time on the PCT board gave me significant insight into the workings of the NHS. I was also involved in strategic planning and mitigating the risks faced by the PCT by obtaining assurances from auditors and the executive on behalf of the board.
I have also been involved in other voluntary organisations in Harlow at a governance level. I served as Vice-chair of Ryelands Neighbourhood board between 2004 and 2008. I also served as a School governor at St Marks West Essex School between 2010 and 2019 and was the Chair of the Audit committee.
In addition to experience of being a trustee, I have experience of corporate governance matters either as Company Secretary or named correspondent with Charity Commission in my professional life. I am excited by the opportunity to serve the Trust as a Public Governor for West Essex and Herts and look forward to contributing my quota to the development of the Trust in the years to come.
