Quality of Care
Transcript can be downloaded here.
Our patients and their supporters are at the heart of everything we do.
We are constantly improving our services, so we can give our patients the safest, highest quality care.
To make sure we get it right, we are working with patients, their supporters, our staff and our partners to drive continuous improvement and achieve consistent, compassionate and reliable care.
Our new Quality of Care approach sets out our guiding principles for delivering care and putting people at the heart of everything we do.
It focuses on Safety, Effectiveness and Experience as the foundations for quality care.
Safety
To ensure our care is safe, we will continue to ensure our processes are robust and use data and learning so that we reduce risks and take preventative action.
Effectiveness
We will use evidence and best practice to make sure our care is reliable, consistent and meets the needs of our patients.
Experience
We want everyone who uses our services to have a positive experience, so listening and acting on their feedback and involving them fully in shaping the care we provide is crucial.
To make sure we’re getting these right, it is essential that we work collaboratively with our patients, their supporters, our colleagues, and our partners.
Bringing people together creates safety, effectiveness and experience and great quality of care.
The Quality of Care Strategy builds on the significant improvements we have achieved through the Safety First, Safety Always Strategy, which was launched in 2020 and has now ended.
