MSE SWEET - South West Essex Education Training for Type 2 Diabetes
The MSE SWEET - South West Essex Education Training is for people with type 2 diabetes and is an essential part of diabetes management.
Taking part in the training can help people with diabetes improve their knowledge, skills and confidence. Enabling them to take control, integrate effective self-management into their daily life and overall improve their quality of life.
People who go on these courses often feel more confident about managing their diabetes, making healthier food choices, looking after themselves and meeting other people with diabetes. If you're supporting someone with diabetes, you’re welcome to join them on a face-to-face course.
The accredited type 2 diabetes education training for adult diabetes services in mid and south Essex takes place at the Hawthorn Centre, Rochford Hospital, once or twice each month.
The session runs for half a day, and you can choose between two time slots: 9:30 to 12:30 or 1:30 to 4:30.
Please remember to pre-book your spot.
We welcome anyone living with type 2 diabetes to attend, along with any caregivers or family members who support those with this condition. If you’re booking a spot, please let the admin team know if someone will be accompanying you or if you’re attending on behalf of someone else.
However the referral form needs to be completed on behalf of the person living with diabetes.
