Barbers give patients free haircuts

Barbers provided free haircuts for patients receiving care at some of our wards in Chelmsford.

Essex Boys Barber Shop recently spent three hours at our Acute Inpatient Service and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit to give more than 30 people fresh haircuts.

Matthew Sisto, our Director of Patient Experience, said: “We know that looking good helps us to feel good and that our patients rarely get the opportunity to visit the barbers whilst in our wards.

“What a difference a haircut can make. This small token of kindness was hugely appreciated by all.

“A huge thank you to Essex Boys Barber Shop for their ongoing support to make the experience of care for our patients a little brighter.”
