EPUT proud to sponsor Southend Pride
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) is proud to sponsor Pride celebrations in Southend this weekend.
Ashley Edwards, chair of the Trust’s LGBTQ+ staff support network, will help host the event on stage at Warrior Square Gardens from noon on Saturday, 16 July.
EPUT’s Equality Advisor and volunteers will also join the celebrations, hosting a stall where visitors can find out more about the Trust, career opportunities and the support we offer LGBTQ+ colleagues.
Sean Leahy, Executive Director of People and Culture, said: “I’m delighted that EPUT has been able to sponsor this great community event.
“Pride is a celebration of diversity. At EPUT we respect and value the diversity of people who access our services and the people who make up our workforce.”
Taking part in Southend Pride is just one of the ways EPUT pro-actively supports members of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Trust’s LGBTQ+ Network provides a voice representing colleagues who are lesbian, gay, bi, trans or other sexual orientation or gender identity, and helps informs the decisions we make and shape improvements.
We also train our workforce to help them provide person-centred care to members of the LGBTQ community accessing our services.
Sean Leahy added: “We are always on the look-out for talented colleagues to join our team of passionate staff and help us provide the best possible care to those who need us most.”
