Expansion of Specialist Perinatal Mental Health services being discussed at Board Meeting
Plans to enhance and expand specialist perinatal mental health services will be discussed at EPUT’s upcoming Board meeting.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Public Board Meeting of Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) on Wednesday, 29 January 2020 (10:30 – 12:45) at The Lodge, Lodge Approach, Wickford, Essex, SS11 7XX.
Following the launch of Essex Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service in October 2017, thousands of pregnant and new mums and their babies in Essex have benefited from specialist care, support and treatment.
Caroline Bogle, Essex Perinatal Mental Health Service Manager and Emma Strivens, Associate Director for North Essex Mental Health, Trust wide Perinatal Services and Children’s Learning Disabilities Service said:
“Thanks to further NHS England investment to enhance and expand specialist services across the country, as part of the NHS Long Term Plan, EPUT is preparing to offer more interventions and expand further to support more mums and their babies across Essex.”
“We will be presenting to the Board a summary of the national direction for specialist perinatal mental health services and outlining our plans to build on achievements so far and the next steps.”
Attendees will also get to find out about other new developments at the Trust and have the chance to ask questions at the end of the meeting.
