Help us shape our services

Are you interested in helping us design and deliver our services?

To coincide with National Co-production Week (1 to 5 July), Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is highlighting the many opportunities for people to collaborate and with us on a range of projects to ensure the care we deliver meets the needs of our patients, their families and supporters.

We have a team of about 200 lived experience ambassadors, who have all used community or mental health services or know someone close to them who has.

They provide invaluable contributions in many ways, including advising and designing what information, support and activities would most benefit our patients, providing peer support, making sure the views of patients and their supporters are heard, sharing their personal experiences to improve staff understanding of people’s specific needs, being actively involved in forums and focus groups, and sitting on interview panels to recruit new staff.

Our Co-Production Champions Network is for people with lived experience of using health care services who would like to be involved in shaping and designing our services.

This could include helping to decide how new services will be delivered and working on innovative projects to help improve care.

If you would like to find out more about how you can be involved in our forums and networks, email epunft.pet@nhs.net
