International Week of the Deaf 2023

International Week of the Deaf takes place this week and as part of our drive as a Trust to be inclusive we offer a British sign language service to anyone who uses our services.

The theme of the week is ‘Building Inclusive Communities for All’ and we are encouraging our staff to play their part in widening understanding and recognition for people with hearing difficulties.

We are also celebrating International Day of Sign language on Saturday.

As a Trust we offer an interpreting and translation services for patients via our Language Empire. This includes British sign language which they offer as a face to face, telephone or video service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
