Introducing our new online patient portal: Patients Know Best (PKB)
We are pleased to let you know that we have started launching Patients Know Best (PKB), our new online patient portal. PKB consolidates your health information from various healthcare providers and makes it available in a single, secure personal health record. This can be accessed via the NHS App using your NHS login, or through the online portal using any web browser on any device.
This is a collaborative effort between the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (MSE ICS) and PKB. This partnership will provide patients with a single personal health record across both Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSE FT) and Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT).
What information is being added?
In this first phase, we are adding your demographic information, appointment details, and new in-patient discharge summaries into the portal. This process will span several weeks, so you may not have immediate access this all information in PKB just yet.
We are committed to ensuring your data is not only securely stored but also fully compliant with healthcare data protection regulations.
Keep you informed
If you have pre-registered for PKB, or have used the portal with another healthcare provider, you will receive an email notification from PKB as soon as new information is added to your record.

Getting started with PKB
While we're working on adding information to the portal, you can get started setting up your PKB account and navigating its features. These include manually inputting your own data, tracking medications and allergies, and logging your measurements, and much more.
