Join our new consultation group, which is part of the Eating Disorder Service User Network
Our new Eating Disorder Service User Network (SUN), which launched in January this year, has been set up to empower those living with an eating disorder to take control of their recovery, with support from each other. The network also has a vital role in supporting us to shape our services and the care we deliver.
As part of the network, a consultation group meet once a month. This group is vital to helping us establish positive change, and is made up of current and ex-service users who are interested in shaping and developing the service.
There are still spaces for new members to attend, and the group is open to anyone who has a formal diagnosis of an eating disorder who have experience of using EPUT’s eating disorder services. They must also reside in Essex.
Some opportunities for the group include taking part in the recruitment and training of staff, creating resources and awareness for eating disorders, co-facilitating training and being part of collaborative project groups.
One consultation group member, Suzy, recently shared her journey and tells us why she decided to become a member.
The group meet once a month via Microsoft Teams, on the last Monday of every month. The next meeting will take place on Monday 25 March from 1pm to 2.30pm.
