Kickstart your career at EPUT
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) is offering exciting and rewarding job placements to young people who are looking to develop a career in the NHS.
The six-month paid roles are part of the Kickstart Scheme - a national programme that is funding thousands of placements across the country to help unemployed young people get back into the job market.
Through the scheme, EPUT is offering healthcare assistant roles across various front line areas and administration assistant roles in its finance, HR, operations, IT, recruitment and workforce teams.
The placements are for people aged 16-24 who are currently on universal credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.
Sean Leahy, EPUT Executive Director – People and Culture, said: “We’re really excited about offering these rewarding roles at EPUT through the Kickstart Scheme. We believe that everyone who completes a placement with us will significantly improve their workplace skills, career direction and chances of getting a full-time job in the future.
“If you want to gain hands-on experience in an organisation that is open, compassionate and empowering and one that is committed to providing the best and safest possible care to patients - apply for a Kickstart placement at EPUT. You won’t regret it.”
Kickstart employees will be assigned a mentor to help them get the most out of their time with the Trust and to plan their next steps. They will also be offered structured support around writing a curriculum vitae (CV), preparing for interviews and developing workplace skills.
Once they have finished their placement, they may be able to apply for a permanent role at EPUT or develop their career somewhere else within the NHS or beyond.
For more information about EPUT’s Kickstart placements and to apply candidates should speak to their Jobcentre Work Coach. Applications cannot be made directly to EPUT.
