Mental Health Services in Uttlesford
Residents in north Uttlesford are set to benefit from mental health services provided by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) from 1 November 2017.
EPUT has been commissioned by West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to provide mental health services to the residents of north Uttlesford in addition to a wide range of community services already provided in the area by EPUT.
Residents will be able to access mental health services in the usual way, by being referred by their GP. This means that residents can be treated by community and inpatient mental health teams provided by EPUT.
The community mental health services have been provided by EPUT and the predecessor organisation since 2003 and the majority of those using the services are already known to the teams.
Sally Morris, Chief Executive at EPUT said: “I am pleased that we have been chosen by West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group to provide mental health services to the people of north Uttlesford. EPUT has been providing various other community services in Uttlesford for many years and the addition of mental health services would bring some continuity to the residents.”
