NHS 76th Birthday - Garden Party Celebrations

One of our healthcare professionals was honoured to be invited to Buckingham Palace in recognition for his services to the NHS.

David Powell was invited to the royal garden party on Tuesday 21 May in recognition of their hard work and dedication during his time at EPUT.

David recently retired from his roles of Armed Forces Champion at EPUT and Op COURAGE regional lead for the East of England.​

David said: “It was an incredible experience and although it rained near enough the whole time we were there I met some really interesting people from a range of areas, including Army Cadets, serving members of the armed services and some from the charity sector.

“It was a lovely day and a real honour to be able to attend such an event.”

David, along with around 3,000 guests, were treated to an afternoon tea and an opportunity to meet Prince William and Princess Beatrice.​​
