Patient celebrates very special birthday!

Celebrations have been held at a care unit in Billericay after a patient reached a very special birthday.

Irene Brown celebrated her 103rd birthday surrounded by family,friends, patients and staff at Mountnessing Court on 28 January, 2020.

Irene enjoyed afternoon tea at the unit run by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

She said: “I would like to thank everyone at Mountnessing Court for the care I’ve received and my wonderful birthday party. It’s not every day you turn 103!”

Margaret Dias, Integrated Service Manager at Mountnessing Court, said: “It was an absolute pleasure for the staff and I to help Irene celebrate such a special birthday.”

Mountnessing Court provides short-term specialist care for adults who have been discharged from hospital and need extra support, care and rehabilitation before returning home.
