Patients can now access mental health appointment details online

We are now sharing newly created outpatient appointment details for some of our mental health services for patients aged 16 and older in the Patients Know Best (PKB) system.

PKB is our new secure, online portal that gives patients access to view some of the information we currently hold within our patient systems digitally. Patients can then securely share this information with people who are involved in their care, such as a carer or family member.

Looking ahead, more information such as appointment letters and inpatient discharge summaries will be made available to view digitally using the PKB system.

What to expect

Appointment details will include the name of the consultant, specialty, date, and time of the appointment. For face-to-face appointments, the address will be included. Otherwise, the appointment type, such as home visit or telephone, will be displayed. PKB will show appointments scheduled within the next three weeks. Historical appointments are not included.

Using PKB is entirely your choice. If you’ve already registered for PKB, you will get an automated email notification from no-reply-uk@patientsknowbest.com when new information is added to your PKB record. These emails are secure and are not spam.

Accessing the portal

The PKB web-based portal is free and easy to use from any digital device that can acces s the internet – a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. PKB is also integrated with the NHS App, which makes it easy for you to access your health information whenever and from wherever you like.

Registering for PKB

You can register and log in to PKB using your NHS login. If you do not have an NHS login, you can create one here: NHS Login. Once registered with PKB, you can access your health record by either logging into the PKB web portal or via the NHS App.

Go to our PKB website page for more information. You can also contact epunft.pkbqueries.eput@nhs.net with any questions or if any information in your PKB record is incorrect. We kindly ask that you include your NHS number in this email so that we can identify you in our databases.
