Planned industrial action by consultant doctors

Some patient appointments with consultant doctors are being rescheduled due to industrial action between Thursday, 20 July and Saturday, 22 July.

During the two days of action the British Medical Association (BMA) has advised that consultants will provide Christmas Day cover, meaning they will continue to provide an emergency care level of service.

All patients affected have been contacted directly. If you have not been notified of any change to your appointment, please attend as planned.  Patients with any questions or concerns should call the Trust’s contact centre on 0300 123 0808.

Mental health crisis support will continue to be available throughout this period of industrial action. If you are in mental health crisis, please call 111 and select the option for mental health to be connected to trained staff who can provide timely and appropriate support and advice. The crisis line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
