Public Board of Directors Meeting (1)

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) invites members of the public to attend a meeting of the Board of Directors. The meeting will be held on Wednesday 29th November from 10:30 – 13:00 at the Trust’s head office: The Lodge, Lodge Approach, Wickford, Essex, SS11 7XX.

As an NHS Foundation Trust, EPUT is run by the local community, and works closely with the community in order to ensure the services provided meet the needs of local people. Attending the public board of directors meeting is one of the ways that local people can be involved with this, and voice any views and suggestions. Comments and questions from members of the public are discussed toward the end of the meeting.

A number of staff will be presented with staff recognition awards. These are awarded to members of staff who have gone above and beyond what is expected of them, and embody the Trust’s values of compassionate, empowering, and open. Members of the public can nominate both individuals and teams for Our People Award who have provided exceptional care by visiting the ‘Get Involved’ section of the EPUT website https://eput.nhs.uk/get-involved/our-people-awards/

The results of the Trust’s recent election to select a Freedom to Speak Up Principle Guardian will also be announced at the Board meeting. The successful candidate will work alongside Trust leadership teams to support the organisation in becoming a more open and transparent place to work, where all staff are actively encouraged and enabled to speak up safely.

If you are over the age of 12, you are eligible to become a member of EPUT. As a member you will receive a regular newsletter, keeping you up to date about what is happening with your local health services. You will also have the opportunity to attend events, and give feedback as to how the Trust can improve services for those in your community.

To become a member of EPUT you can call the Trust’s membership office for free on 0800 023 2059. You can also register online at www.eput.nhs.uk
