SEPT Awarded Funding from Nursing Technology Fund

South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT) is delighted to announce that we have been awarded £172,584 from the Nursing Technology Fund for 2013/14.

The funding is for the supply and deployment of 250 Dragon Speech Recognition licences which will be piloted with Mobius Unified Electronic Patient Record to assess the benefits of potentially more efficient and accurate recording of patient information directly into Mobius.

The Mobius Dragon pilot will deployed to Forensic Services at ward and team level; a full benefits realisation will determine SEPT strategy for future rollout.

SEPT has also expressed interest in further awards for 2014/15, based on a pilot of patient signature pads. This new technology is designed to enable patient signatures to be captured directly into Mobius, without the need to print and scan the original documents, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing risk.
