SEPT CHILDREN’S CENTRE TEAM CELEBRATE COMMUNITY SPRING FUN DAY

The Hamstel Children and Family Centre in Southchurch are celebrating the end of a highly successful Easter half term with a Community Spring Fun Day for children and families in Southchurch and Southend.

This Fun filled community event is the first of its kind for the team and will happen on April 11 from 11.00 to 13.30 at the Whittingham Methodist Church, Whittingham Ave, Southend on Sea with an exciting menu of activities taking place. This will also provide an opportunity for the team to speak with local families and gain their views about service delivery and developments for the future.

Highlights will include a fun-filled family cooking session and barbecue  featuring delicious healthy recipes from local Masterchef Martin Buckley, “Let’s Get Messy” arts, crafts,  play area and  activities, bouncy castle, face painting, refreshments and raffles.

The project was formulated in response to extensive community consultations in the Southchurch areas, and aimed to fulfil the needs of local families for a variety of fun, affordable activities during the school holidays to meet the specific needs of the local community, and highlighting the positive outcomes, which could be achieved.
