SEPT CHILDREN’S CENTRE TEAM CELEBRATE HAPPY HEALTHY HEARTS MONTH

The Leigh Children and Family Centre based at Darlinghurst School, Pavillion Drive, Leigh-On-Sea and Hamstel Children and Family Centre based at Hamstel Road, Southchurch, which has services provided by South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT) are celebrating the Happy Health Heart month of February with an Extravaganza of events  for children and families.

The activities will take place on Wednesday February 20 at Hamstel Children and Family Centre and Thursday February 21 at Leigh Children and Family Centre and are designed to raise the profile of good, happy and healthy lifestyles that are modern and in tune with children and families.

Highlights include Hearty Crafts, fun-filled family cooking sessions featuring delicious healthy recipes from local Master chef Martin Buckley, Fun on the run and relaxation with Indian Head and Hand Massage.

The project was formulated in response to extensive community consultations in the Leigh and Southchurch areas, and aimed to fulfil the needs of local families with a variety of fun, affordable activities during the school holidays.

SEPT Children’s Centre Manager Imelda Callowhill said “Our events are always well attended and this promises to be a fun filled initiative for children and families in the Leigh and Southchurch communities. I look forward to welcoming families to either of our days and there will also be opportunities to find out more about getting involved and volunteering”.

For further information about local events and activities at SEPT’s Children’s Centres, please contact Imelda Callowhill on 01702 616454 or 07956 360069.
