SEPT COMMUNITY DRUG AND ALCOHOL SERVICE MOVE

South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has transferred its Community Drug and Alcohol Service from the Taylor Centre, Queensway, Southend, to 25 Weston Road, Southend-on-Sea.

To commemorate the move, guest of honour local MP for Rochford and Southend East James Duddridge will be present to unveil a picture representing the local area on display at the new location. The event will take place on Friday 21 June 2013 10:00 - 11:00.

SEPT has worked hard to ensure that clinical services re-located are maintained in central Southend. Over the last few months, staff and patients have been consulted on the proposed changes to service location and SEPT have written to all service users of clinical services previously provided at the Taylor Centre to advise them of the new arrangements.

Professor Patrick Geoghegan OBE, Chief Executive of SEPT said: “I’m delighted James Duddridge MP has taken time out of his busy diary to commemorate the move of our Community Drug and Alcohol Services. SEPT is now able to bring together the skills and expertise of our new community staff with those of our mental health staff so that we can care for the physical and mental health needs of people in the most effective way using new technologies to assist the way we work in a modern NHS”.
