SEPT named as one of the best places to work in the NHS

South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT) which provides community health services and mental health services locally has once again been named as one of best places to work in the NHS.

Health Service Journal and Nursing Times magazines, in association with NHS Employers, compiled the list of the top 120 organisations.

They highlight the importance of great staff engagement and creating an environment in wch people can enjoy their work, in order to provide the best possible care for patients.

Sally Morris, Chief Executive commented: “This is great news for the Trust and recognises the fantastic contribution each and every member of our staff makes towards the excellent culture within our organisation.”

The Best Places to Work initiative is an annual celebration of the UK’s elite public sector healthcare employers. These organisations have proven that they know what it takes to create environments where people love to come to work. To compile the list, Best Companies Group used NHS staff survey findings to analyse each organisation across seven core areas:

leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; relationship with supervisor; training and development; and employee engagement and satisfaction.
