Staff shortlisted for Nursing Times Workforce Awards
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) has been shortlisted for three awards in this year’s Nursing Times Workforce Awards.
The event, which celebrates excellence in nurse recruitment, retention, wellbeing, and inclusion, will take place on Thursday 28 November during the seventh annual Nursing Times Workforce Summit and Awards.
EPUT has been shortlisted in the categories of:
Best Employer for Diversity and Inclusion for our talent programme RISE (Resilience, Strength, Intelligence, Excellence), which is part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for colleagues from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds through tailored talent development programmes.
Overseas Nurse of the Year - Nurse Prince Adoe has been shortlisted for his exceptional contributions in delivering high quality care and strengthening the team dynamic at the Trust.
Prince said: "It’s a privilege to be nominated. This means so much to me and also recognises the way in which my team has made me feel welcomed and supported from the very beginning.
"Nursing is not just a job, it’s a passion, and I am proud to contribute to the excellent care we provide at EPUT."
Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year - Moriam Adekunle, Director of Safety and Patient Safety Specialist, has been shortlisted for her work in promoting diversity and inclusion within the Trust, making EPUT a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
Moriam said: "I am deeply honoured to be recognised for championing diversity and inclusion within EPUT.
"This nomination reflects the hard work of everyone across the Trust who is committed to creating an environment where every voice is heard and valued.
"Together, we are building a more inclusive future for both our staff and the communities we serve."
In addition to the evening awards, the Nursing Times Workforce Summit will take place during the day on 28 November, offering a platform for debate on critical workforce challenges. The summit will bring together peers to address pressing issues and share innovative solutions.
