Support service for health and social care staff celebrates two year anniversary

A support service for health and social care staff across Essex and Hertfordshire has celebrated its two year anniversary.

Here For you was launched by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) in partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support people working in healthcare, social care and the voluntary or not-for-profit sector.

Since its launch in 2021 it has supported more than 20,000 health and social care staff with confidential mental health and wellbeing services.

Last year the service was shortlisted at the Great British Workforce Wellbeing Awards which highlight organisations that are positively changing the lives of the nation’s workforce by supporting their health and wellbeing.

Run by a team of psychological therapists and mental health professionals, Here for You was commissioned by NHS England and Improvement to be the ‘go to’ resource for clinical and non-clinical staff.

Marcus Riddell, Acting Executive Director for People and Culture, said: “We are super proud to be marking our anniversary. In the last two years, Here for You has made an enormous difference to the lives of people across Essex and Hertfordshire and I am really pleased to watch the service go from strength to strength.

“Colleagues working across health and social care spend much of their time caring for others but, at times, they need support too. If you work in health and social care across Essex or Hertfordshire and need someone to talk to in confidence, we are Here for You.”

The service understands it can be difficult for people to access support from those they may come into contact with during their work so can offer support from clinicians based in Hertfordshire or Essex.

To arrange an appointment with Here for You, please call 0344 257 3960 or email hereforyou@nhs.net.  You will be contacted within three working days to book an initial meeting.
