Thank you to our 500 volunteers and lived experience ambassadors

It’s International Volunteer Day (Thursday 5 December) and we want to say a huge thank you to our hundreds of fantastic volunteers who support the Trust in many ways.

We have 258 volunteers who give up their time each week to carry out a variety of roles.

We have volunteers who befriend our patients, support with patient activities, maintain the gardens at our care homes and sites, and collect feedback so we can continuously improve our care.

We also have 252 lived experience ambassadors who work with us in many different ways, including helping to shape and improve our services, ensuring the views of patients, their families and carers are heard, sharing their personal experiences to improve staff understanding of people’s specific needs, being actively involved in forums and focus groups, and sitting on interview panels to recruit new staff.
