The Adult Bladder and Bowel Service (formerly known as The Continence Advisory Service).
Service Information
This service is a clinic based service specialising in the assessment, treatment & management of the below conditions, by specialist clinician’s;
- Stress urinary incontinence
- Overactive Bladder
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Faecal incontinence or Anal Incontinence
- Constipation
- Obstructive defecation
- Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injuries (OASI)
- Male pelvic floor dysfunction (LUTS, UI, Bowel dysfunction, post prostate surgery UI)
- Patients requiring Intermittent self- catheterisation
- Neurological Bladder and or bowel dysfunction (incomplete emptying, recurrent UTI’s, constipation, faecal incontinence) Conditions include MS/PD/DM & spinal cord injury
- Lower anterior resection syndrome (LARS) following bowel cancer surgery
