Service Information
This service is provided by community nurses, case managers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians, respiratory nurse.
Falls Prevention and strength and balance( home based and class based) are offered as part of the core services provided by the therapy teams in West Essex.
For individuals experiencing falls, or at risk of falling, there are a number of services on offer including:
- a home visit to assess risks of falling and the need for any aids such as grab rails;
- an exercise programme to improve your strength, fitness and balance;
- provision of equipment and walking aids;
- group exercises for balance training.
Where service is based
Care provided in patient’s homes and in clinics across west Essex
Falls service; majority of service delivery occurs in the patient’s own home however Strength and Balance exercise groups are offered in all 3 localites – Epping, Harlow and Uttlesford.

Monday-Friday 07.00 – 23.00
Falls service; Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00
