Visiting times

Visiting times are 3pm to 5pm, and 6pm to 8pm.

Visitors are encouraged to help us provide dignity and privacy by using the individual bedrooms or the grounds for visits.

We understand the importance of being able to spend precious time with loved ones towards the end of their lives. However it is important for our staff to balance the need to manage possible risks of infection with the safety of our patients, staff and visitors.
If you wish to visit a loved one receiving end of life care at the Cumberledge Intermediate Care Centre, please follow the guidance below:

  • Before visiting, please contact the centre on 01702 372066 to make arrangements with our staff
  • Where social distancing can be maintained and prior agreements are in place, we can allow up to two family members or people of importance to our patient to visit. Visiting times may be staggered to accommodate visiting for all patients receiving end of life care
  • All visitors must sanitise their hands before entering and wear a face mask at all times
  • Please do not visit if you are experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus – this is essential for the safety of our patients, staff and other visitors.

Where face-to-face visits are not practical or not permitted, our staff will aim to facilitate virtual visits. Please discuss this with the nurses caring for your loved one so that arrangements can be made.
